When I emailed Green River Ordinance’s band manager to request a photo pass, I got quite a surprise when he replied. Not only did he reply within just a couple of hours of my sending the request… Not only was it after midnight when he responded…

He copied the band’s tour manager on the email as well. What’s the big deal about this, you ask? The tour manager was none other than Steven Samuels, the guy who let me into the David Crowder*Band show months earlier. This had a pretty cool advantage, but more on that in another post.

The only downside of the evening was that, because I wasn’t shooting for a publication (yet), I couldn’t shoot the headliner… Lifehouse.

But that was fine by me. I still got to photograph some great artists and meet the guys in GRO, which was really cool.
